What is a disposable email address?
Disposable (temporary) email services hand out inboxes that work for minutes or hours, then vanish. People use them to grab a download or a free trial without giving a real address. For you, they mean fake signups, wasted trial resources, and bounces later.
Why block them at signup
- Trial abuse: one person, many "accounts".
- Dead weight: the inbox is gone by the time your onboarding emails go out, so they bounce.
- Skewed metrics: signups that never activate.
The form widget blocks disposable addresses as people type. For SaaS teams, see stopping fake signups. Related: role-based addresses.
