From messy CSV to send-ready list
- Upload a CSV or TXT, or paste addresses straight in
- Every row labelled deliverable, risky, undeliverable or unknown, with a reason
- Filter and export just the addresses you want to send to
- Your other columns are kept, so it drops straight back into your CRM or sending tool
| State | Reason | |
|---|---|---|
| [email protected] | deliverable | Mailbox exists |
| [email protected] | risky | Role address |
| [email protected] | risky | Catch-all domain |
| [email protected] | undeliverable | Mailbox does not exist |
| [email protected] | risky | Disposable inbox |
What the four results mean
- Deliverable: the mail server confirmed the mailbox exists. Safe to send.
- Risky: the address probably exists, but it's a catch-all domain, a role inbox like info@, or a disposable provider. Send with care, or leave it out of cold campaigns.
- Undeliverable: the mailbox or the whole domain doesn't exist. Sending would bounce. Remove it.
- Unknown: the server wouldn't answer. We retry, and if there's still no answer the credit is refunded.
When to clean a list
Email lists decay as people change jobs and companies shut down. Verify before any campaign to a list that hasn't been mailed in a few months, before every import of purchased or scraped leads, and before you move a list into a new sending tool.
For cold email in particular, see how to verify leads before importing them into tools like Instantly and Smartlead.
