ZeroBounce review

A plain-language review built from ZeroBounce's own pricing and product pages, checked 2026-10-18. Vendor claims are labelled as claims.

TL;DR

  • Well-known and feature-rich, and priced at the top of the market: $69 for 5K and $649 for 100K on pay-as-you-go.
  • Good terms: unknown results and duplicate removal are not charged, and there's a 100-credit monthly free tier.
  • The extras (finder, scoring, inbox tests) are what you pay for. If you only verify, that's a premium.
  • Accuracy (99.6%, described as guaranteed) is a vendor-stated figure, not an independent measurement.

What ZeroBounce is

ZeroBounce is one of the longest-running email verification services. Beyond verifying addresses it sells an email finder, AI scoring, inbox and server tests, blacklist monitoring and warm-up tools. Its site states large usage numbers (hundreds of thousands of customers and billions of emails validated); those are marketing claims we can't verify.

What's good

  • Fair treatment of unknowns. Unknown results and duplicate removal cost nothing.
  • A real free tier that refills every month, which suits occasional use.
  • A broad suite if you want finding, scoring and inbox testing under one login.
  • 24/7 support is advertised on every plan, including free.

What to check before buying

  • Credit expiry. Credits are listed as never expiring, but the page says that without a ZeroBounce ONE subscription expiration rules "may apply". Read the terms for the pack you're buying.
  • Add-on credit costs. Finder queries cost 20 credits each and scoring costs an extra credit per address.
  • Price per email. At 5K it's $0.0138 an email and still $0.0065 at 100K, about double what the cheapest big-name options charge.
  • Accuracy claims. The 99.6% figure is the vendor's own. Test on your list: how to test a verifier.

Who ZeroBounce suits

Teams that want an all-in-one deliverability toolkit and will use the extras, and buyers who value the monthly free tier. If your only job is verifying lists and APIs at the lowest cost, you'll be paying for features you don't use.

Alternatives

Compare against Mail Exchange (about 58% less at 5K and 54% less at 100K on pay-as-you-go), NeverBounce, Emailable, or see all ZeroBounce alternatives.
