Email verification for recruiters

Sourced contact lists go stale fast, because the people on them change jobs. Verify before you send so your outreach reaches real inboxes and your domain keeps its reputation.

Updated 2026-10-18

TL;DR

  • Sourced lists decay because people change jobs. Verify before every outreach wave, not once.
  • Send to deliverable, hold catch-alls for a separate campaign, remove undeliverable.
  • Bulk upload for batches, the API for sourcing pipelines. a 3-day free trial, and credits never expire.

The recruiter's list problem

A recruiter's list is made of people who move. Candidate and hiring-manager addresses at companies stop working when the person leaves, and mailbox providers treat repeated mail to nonexistent addresses as a sign of a poorly sourced list. Lists pulled from profiles, databases or guessed address patterns add more invalid addresses. We have no recruiter-specific bounce statistics, so we won't make up one. The mechanism is simple enough.

The cost is practical. A bounced outreach wave wastes sourcing time and puts your sending domain at risk. See how many bounces burn a domain for the thresholds platforms enforce.

A workflow that fits sourcing

  1. Export the batch from your sourcing tool, ATS or spreadsheet as CSV.
  2. Upload to Mail Exchange. CSV, TXT or paste. Duplicates are removed and refunded, which matters when the same person appears in several searches.
  3. Filter by result (below) and import the clean file into your outreach tool.
  4. Re-verify before follow-ups if a sequence runs for weeks, and before reusing an old talent pool.

If candidates are added to your system continuously, call the API as each one is sourced and store the state next to the record. It is live; keys are issued on request through contact. There are no native ATS connectors yet.

Which results to act on

ResultFor a recruiter
DeliverableSend.
Risky: catch-allMany companies' servers accept any address, so we cannot confirm the person. Send separately, slowly, and only for high-value targets. See catch-all emails.
Risky: roleAddresses like jobs@ or careers@ go to a team inbox, not the person. Leave out unless that is the target.
Risky: disposableRemove.
UndeliverableRemove. For a high-value candidate, find a new address.
UnknownRetry later. The credit is refunded.

What it costs

$29 for 5,000 checks, $299 for 100,000, down to $0.0017 each at 1 million. Credits never expire, so a quiet hiring month costs nothing. See pricing.
